ROGER MEDDOWS-TAYLOR

As Lead Singer

Being able to cover very high and very low notes and having a nice Stewart-esque raw voice, Roger's fantastic voice is found as lead in about a dozen Queen tracks (including some duets with Freddie) as well as four solo albums, three more with 'The Cross' and some more recent projects with Brian and Paul Rodgers.

Live, he sang I'm In Love With My Car during the 1977-1981 period, and from then on his role as occasional lead singer diminished in Queen, due to his solo work, his increasing role writing singles (which apparently had to be sung by Freddie in order to be released) and later on due to Mercury's illness.
