A KIND OF MAGIC

It shows again how awesome Mercury was as arranger and producer; hats off to David Richards for the mixing too, btw. Roger's version (the one featured in Highlander) was radically changed by Freddie in terms of structure, arrangements and EQ, and it seems Taylor was pleased with the new arrangement since he used it whenever he sang the track in his solo tours. Mercury showed how he could enhance the song and at the same time respect the author's original chords, lyrics and melody.
