As Singer?

It's been a long debate among listeners and fans. Does John sing or not? First we'd have to define the question: is does he sing about his abilities or about whether he contributed vocals to the band? Credits surely don't mention him, but there are lots of things they omit; quotes have also suggested that only Freddie, Roger and Brian sang on the record.

But, if we were to believe everything credits say, then Brian doesn't sing backing vocals or play piano in the 'News of the World' album; if we were to believe everything interviews say, then My Fairy King is on 'Queen II' and the Rainbow gig was done on 1976.

Fact is, some songs do seem to have voices different to those from the three of them, which still doesn't mean John contributes: it could be a matter of mixing, or simply they tried different intonations or something.
