SPECIAL THANKS TO... - Adam Baboolal: A key member of Queen Zone. I've learnt loads of things from him. - Alberto Hernández Moreno: He sent to me a wonderful interview with Mack done in 2000, which was an extraordinary source of information for 'The Game' album. - Andrés Guazzelli: His website on Freddie's voice is not only ace, but very inspiring as well. There's much more to research than just copying and pasting the same old shite, and he's demonstrated it brilliantly. - Barry Mitchell: For me it was quite an honour to have written to him via Queen Zone forum, and to have my doubts solved. Barry's always very polite, informative and patient with us posters. - Bohardy: Several corrections here and there, and some priceless data; Bohardy has contributed to my website since it was first issued over five years ago. - Christian 'Mack' Rodríguez: Marvellous support during earlier stages of the web. - David Richards: My e-mail conversations with him five years ago gave me much detailed info about the band's equipment in later years. Dave was always very kind to share his memories and knowledge. - Denes: Encouragement, content supervision and strong influence. - Eugenio Bartolo: He's the drum-expert by excellence, and has contributed largely to this research. - Felipe 'Rick Wakeman' Motta: Years and years ago I had promised to help him with a site he was doing about Marillion; I never did :( But he, unlike me, was always of invaluable assistance. - Giovanni Varrica: Loads of help with keyboard instruments. - Hernán López: He's made several corrections, and all in all he's an excellent bloke. - Jens Karsunke: Most of info on synths was actually his input, as well as loads of photos. - John S. Stuart: A very intelligent person who's always been able to detect even the slightest inaccuracy and politely point it out. With people like him one can't stop wondering why on earth do QP employ idiots like Greg Brooks... - LG: Although we've only communicated a few times over the years, Libor has always been a very polite and geniunely kind supporter of musical projects. - Mami Matsuda: Virtually all on John's basses is thanks to her Deacy site; also, she introduced me to a brilliant '82 interview to the entire band where they discuss gear (by far the best Queen interview I've seen together with Xmas Eve '77 and Queen For An Hour), and a friend of hers is the author of 'Queen File', where David Richards clears up many of the undisclosed songwriters. - Marcelo Petrucci: Proof-reading, moral support, friendship. - Martin Skála: Pix, mag cuttings, promotion, hosting and God knows what else! - Members of the band 'Dios Salve A La Reina' ('God Save The Queen'): They've sent me loads of data on the Korg M1 before I bought one, and they were kind enough to answer my questions regarding that synth. I still haven't put all the info they've given to me, but I promise I will. - Niek Lucassen: Corrections, contributions and much much more! A good bloke who's been an active Queen expert for years. - Nicola Bizzo: His excellent thesis on Queen songwriting, production and musicianship should be translated to English someday and become one of the few books on the band worth reading. That paper is very inspirational and content-wise brilliant, and even with my very poor Italian command I could understand it for a large part. I'll definitely re-read it when I've got enough time! - Peter Hince: There's no better source for an equipment site than Queen's chief of staff and supervisor of John's and Freddie's instruments. I'm really looking forwards to his book as well. - Phillip Nothaft: I took a keen interest on the band's equipment and "who-played-what" since I read his fantastic "studio info" researches. Phillip has made several further contributions to the site too, and whenever he posts on Queen Zone (which lately is hardly ever, sadly) I know that it's worth reading. - Richard Orchard: Very few people realise how hard he's worked for Queen Zone, the ultimate Queen portal. Perhaps this web (and many others) wouldn't even exist without that fantastic forum. - Sergey Radchenko: Loads of material and corrections have been made (and still are) by him. One of Queen Zone tacit leaders, and a good friend. - T-Sakamoto: Corrections and indirect contact. Very nice bits about finger rest and John's Fender P-Basses! - Wim Markenhof: He gave me some detailed info on Brian's first guitar, and has always been a gentleman, one of the nicest people I've exchanged e-mails with. - Your Valentine: Endless contributions including pix, interviews (audio and scripts), videos, time, patience, corrections ... Your Valentine is another key member of the Queen community and her input is unestimable. |
