Songwriting:

Similar to Great King Rat in many aspects, but more musically complex. Mercury was probably a better guitarist back then than he'd be later on since even his guitar-originated material was somewhat sophisticated in harmony. Lyrically it follows Freddie's tradition of fairy tale imagery, bringing in more fantastic characters.
